The Catcher Problem
January 15th.
The Mariners may have made a serious mistake when signing two catchers, Matt Wieters and hometown favorite Mike Zunino, to long term contracts. Both catchers have proved themselves as reliable starters, now the question awaits, who will receive the starting spot. Zunino is young with incredible potential, yet Wieters has proved himself at the biggest stage. Analysts say the best route to go would be Wieters. The fans want Zunino.
We had the time to catch up with Matt Wieters,
Matt Wieters:
Q: How do you feel about having Mike Zunino on the same team as you? A: He's alright. Actually, I will be straight with you, he sucks. What the hell was GM Vik thinking when he signed that punk. He walks around Seattle like he runs that town. Can't wait to see the look on his face when I am starting out behind the plate.
Q: How do you like Seattle? A: It's pretty nice. Nothing special, but better than Baltimore.
Q: What player would you like GM Vik to sign? A: Man, there are a bunch of great names out there. Damn, do I really have to answer this?........Okay, if I had to choose one player, it would be Adam Jones.
Q: Why Adam Jones? A: Why not?
Awkward silence ensues....
5 Minutes Later:
Matt Wieters leaves the room.
Mike Zunino was not available for an interview, but he was seen in a verbal altercation with Matt Wieters, neither had any comments involving the altercation.
The days in Seattle are going to be tough and long, but the question remains, will it all be worth it?

This week has been an exciting, and very suspenseful week for the Mariners. The Mariners brought home Adrian Beltre, who played for the Mariners from 2005-2009.
When asked about returning to Seattle, Beltre had this to say,
"I don't like Seattle, but they gave me the money, so I'll be there. However, what I want more than money is a championship. If we don't win one this year, I'll be out, whether I have to retire or demand a trade."
GM Vik had this to say after hearing Beltre's comments:
"Well, I guess he will be here next year because we are bringing a championship home...this year. Not one, not two, not three, not four, not five..."
Adrian Beltre may be 35 years old, yet last year, he batted .324 with 19 HR's, 77 RBI's, and 79 Runs. He may be old, but he definitely hasn't lost his edge. Beltre adds to an already superb roster consisting of Mike Zunino, Matt Wieters, Miguel Cabrera, James Loney, Kolten Wong, and now, Adrian Beltre. This team has depth already, and still has over 75M to blow. This should be a good year, but the best part is starting tomorrow, at the:
Minor League Draft
According to sources, the Seattle Mariners have composed a Spreadsheet for minor league scouting that consists of over 500 Prospects. The Mariners plan on using their scouting skills to win the league. They know that championships will not be won by the Miguel Cabrera's of the world, yet the Yeyson Yrizarri's of the world. This friday marks a day in which a championship may be won--or lost. With the fifth pick, the Mariners have many choices. They can choose to go pitcher here or maybe 3B for when Adrian Beltre gets too old. There are many decisions to be made.

The Battle of Uptonburg Has Come to an End!!! 2/9/15
The most exciting, boring, longing, pressuring, maddening, scary auction in Trio Dynasties has come to an end. Justin Upton has officially signed with the Seattle Mariners for 4 years at 16M per year. This comes after 49 bids, a Trio Dynasties record.
Matt Wieters was seen crying in the locker room after the Mariners did not sign Adam Jones, spending big on Justin Upton instead.
This marks the end of a war between Atlanta and Seattle for Upton -- this war shall formally be known as the War for Uptoninity and the Final Bid Shall be Known as The Battle of Uptonburg. This war will forever go down in infamy.
