I graded the first round pick on three criteria: Present Production, Future Production, and Pick Value. Enjoy!
Pick | Team | Player | Present | Future | Value | Explanation |
| CLE | Melvin Gordon | A- | A | B | An unconventional pick, CLE went with present production over future value. |
| TB | Todd Gurley | B- | A+ | A+ | Tampa clearly didn't expect Gurley to be here at #2, and went BPA. |
| MIN | Jameis Winston | C+ | A- | B- | A surprising pick this early, MIN went with possibly the most expensive position at #3. |
| ATL | Amari Cooper | B+ | A | A | A fairly safe pick, ATL's pick depends almost entirely on how well Carr develops in Oakland. |
| HOU | Dante Fowler Jr | B+ | B | C- | Fowler Jr. would have to turn into JJ Watt to be worth this pick. |
| CHI | TJ Yeldon | B- | B+ | C+ | He might go for 1k combined yards this year, if he gets the lead back role. Meh pick at #7. |
| OAK | Kevin White | A- | A | A+ | Shocked that a WR that could break camp as the #1 wideout in CHI fell this far. |
| PHI | Tevin Coleman | B- | A | B+ | Landed at possibly the best spot, outside of Melvin Gordon. Blazing fast, good pick by PHI. |
| KC | Marcus Mariota | C+ | B | B- | This pick feels like KC is banking on QB's being expensive, and Mariota living up to expectations. |
| SF | DeVante Parker | B | A- | A | Good value pick for SF at #10, as he went BPA with a good return. |
| LA | Ameer Abdullah | B- | A | A- | Abdullah could return top 5 value in this draft, or just as easily be the biggest bust with the Lions. |
| BOS | Nelson Agholor | B+ | A+ | A- | Agholor is by far the best bet to be this year's Beckham Jr. Dangerous spot in Philly, though. |
| MIA | Devin Funchess | B- | B+ | B+ | His value hinges on whether the Panthers use him as a red-zone threat exclusively, or in main sets. |
| SEA | Dorial Green-Beckham | C+ | A- | B+ | He went a little early, in my opinion, but Green- Beckham could do well in Tennessee. |
| DET | Maxx Williams | C+ | B | B- | TE's should not go this early in the draft. They are not significant fantasy assets as rookies. |
| NY | Breshad Perriman | B+ | A- | A+ | I was wondering when Perriman's slide would stop. He has bad hands, but fantastic speed. |
| ARI | Phillip Dorsett | D+ | A | B | I would seriously doubt that Dorsett would get significant stats this year, but he has luck on his side. |
| DAL | Jaelen Strong | B+ | B+ | B | Fantastic landing spot, despite that HOU doesn't have a good QB. He should do well there. |
| DEN | David Cobb | B- | A- | B- | DEN's pick is heavily dependent on how the Sankey situation shakes out. He's hoping that Cobb wins it. |
| TOR | Vic Beasley | B- | B+ | B+ | 2nd defensive player off the board is also the 2nd best defensive player. I like this pick at the turn. |
