Toronto Trades: SP Anibal Sanchez (5M 2017) (TOR agrees to pay 3M for 2015) SS Alcides Escobar (3M 2016) 3B Casey McGehee (0.5M 2015) RP Tom Wilhelmsen (0.5M 2016) RP Zach Putnam (0.5M 2015)
Oakland Trades 1B Greg Bird (prospect) OF Hunter Renfroe (prospect) SS Orlando Arcia (prospect) 2015 1st (OAK) SS Chris Owings (2M 2018)
Accept.
While I didn't get the impact prospects I was looking for, for Anibal, I believe I made it up with the prospect depth I receive. I am rebuilding and had no use for any of the above players, they will help Oakland contend instead of me wasting them. Next steps are to move Murphy and Tanaka.

Oakland Accepts.
I am obviously building for the now but I also feel that I will be able to compete for many years to come. I have always been the type of GM that enjoys to compete immediately instead of sitting on prospects, hence my farm disappearing in 2.2 days. I also needed to fill in some holes that were left when I took over and this trade took care of that.
PS I have had a permanent chub since joining this pool as I enjoy new pools and love the complexity of it!

Approve. While I don't like that OAK has now given up their top picks and prospects with the exception of Foltynewickz, it is the price of contending. Hopefully OAK won't be able to beat us .
I got left with nothin but a Penny...so I had to learn to do it the Hardaway.

that will never happen, I run a few pools and it actually boils my blood when pussies quit, pardon my language. I had a guy quit on me because he had an illegal lineup (which was in the rules, and clearly stated that if you didnt have the correct number of players in your starting lineup that the computer will award you 0 pts for the week) and then he tries to blame me as if Im denying him of pts lol.....smh - I do understand you dont know me well enough yet but I do not leaves pools, ever. The only way I no longer participate in any pool would be because it folded.

A rebuild that is undertaken just before a season starts can change the competitive balance in a league too much by making the rebuild team too weak to effectively compete or strengthening another team too much from a roster fire sale. While this trade is greatly unbalanced in favor of OAK, it doesn't tip the scales in OAK's favor too much or render TOR uncompetitive. While I personally don't like it when a team decides to give up either during the season or just before it starts, this trade does not warrant a veto. Approve.
